The ‘CRYX Contest’ and the ‘Crypto Fund Contest’ will be held on a regular basis. They both will be organized through the use of Ethereum-based decentralized smart contracts, during which participants will endeavor to obtain the best Sharpe ratios by backtesting their algorithms and strategies using CRYX’s data and/or Crypto Funds’ data and/or Third-Party data vendors’ data. The top-3 contestants will be rewarded CCX Tokens for their successful and promising careers in quantitative investments and cryptocurrency investments.

Your algorithms are kept secret. CRYX is committed to protecting your intellectual property. It is up to CRYX users to share their algorithm so that others can see it. If you choose to share your algorithm(s), it will still be owned by you but will no longer be kept in secret. This latter will be used and adapted by others.
A cryptocurrency that has been privately issued on the Ethereum blockchain. Please read the Token Sale Agreement in here.
The CCX Token will be a significant part of the CRYX Ecosystem which will use Smart Contracts on the Ethereum Blockchain.
The more agents will use the CRYX ecosystem, the more liquid the CCX Token will be.

CCX Tokens will be available on pre-sale on the 9th of April 2018 12:01AM GMT – unless the total supply has been distributed earlier during the pre-sale or the actual token crowdsale, then the crowdsale would end at this specific time. People will give us Ethereum and we will give them CCX Tokens in exchange.
Fund raised through this collective effort will be invested in the platform and the team to develop our final product highlighted on our whitepaper.
CCX Tokens holders may choose to sell their coins on the market at any time as they wish.
It is very likely that people will trade their CCX Tokens.
While a certain quantity of CCX Tokens will be spent on our platform by users, anyone is free to buy and sell CCX Tokens on markets at whatever price is available without our input or consent.
Any coins that are left unsold will be immediately and publicly burned when the crowdfunding period closes.
Unfortunately, the blockchain is designed as a one-way transaction model. Once you participate on the Tokens crowdsale you will receive CCX Tokens for your contribution paid in Ethereum. There will be no refund.

CRYX creates its own benchmarks on cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency index CRYX is a conceptual benchmark developed by financial professionals to create an index methodology adapted to the cryptocurrency market. The reallocation of the constituents is revised on a daily basis in order to better react to the dynamic market changes. This reallocation takes into consideration the market capitalization and the liquidity of every cryptocurrency. CRYX Indexes provide different calculation methods in order to provide indexes adapted to different portfolio strategies (i.e. Cap-Weighted, Equal-Weighted, and Exponential-Weighted). Each index is then available with a fixed number of constituents (i.e. 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100). For more info: www.cryx.io/products
At CRYX, we provide data on our different indices. These include the index components and all of its underlying data (i.e. constituents). The underlying data are very granular. We also provide data on our CRYX Cryptocurrency Classification Standard (CCS).
The data on cryptocurrencies we are retrieving are prices, volumes and market capitalisations that are aggregated and averaged out the exchanges where the cryptocurrencies are currently traded on. These data constitute the basis of our indices calculations. Therefore, as an example, the data we do have from Bitcoin are not necessarily the same as the ones you can have on a specific exchange (e.g. Coinbase).
High-frequency data can be requested on-demand but we do not generally deal with high-frequency data (i.e. milliseconds data).
You can write your algorithm on our IDE. You’ll also be able to, for example, use our various internal APIs for Machine Learning for prediction purposes.
We do not (yet) provide tutorials in Python. You’ll be able to go to the CRYX Community forum and check what they have carried out, and perhaps innovate from someone else’s strategy. If you can’t find the answer to your questions, you’ll still be able to write a new post in the forums, it will be most likely that someone will endeavour to help you through your ideas and strategies.

Not at the moment, and we have no plans (yet) to support another language at this time. However, Python is a reasonably simple and very powerful programming language. Moreover, you will never be stuck in Python as the CRYX Community will always be happy to help you. Plus, forums such as stackoverflow.com already have thousands and thousands of questions and answers that are likely to look like yours.
You can use any IDE that you'd like, but in the end you need to paste the code into our IDE to run a backtest.
